According to a recent study in the British Dental Journal, over half of patients did not know how to contact out of hours dental services, when their regular dentist was closed. This alarming figure explains the void in providing dental services to patients, especially as patients surveyed in the study reported that they should be seen straight away for dental issues such as pain after an extraction or uncontrolled bleeding; issues that can be managed remotely until a physical dentist is seen.
